This guide helps you to manually uninstall and delete ReShade from your game directory.
What is ReShade?
ReShade is a popular game shading library that allows you to add home-cooked global illumination and visual effects to many popular games.
However, you may want to uninstall the addon if you don't want it to load anymore, and that's not entirely easy to do without a guide — so here it is.

Deleting ReShade
To uninstall ReShade from your game you need to fully remove all the ReShade files. First off, delete the reshade-shaders folder.
Then, delete the following files:
DLL Files | INI Files |
---|---|
d3d8.dll | d3d8.ini |
d3d9.dll | d3d9.ini |
d3d10.dll | d3d10.ini |
d3d11.dll | d3d11.ini |
opengl.dll | opengl.ini |
dxgi.dll | dxgi.ini |
Some of these files may not be present in your specific game install, but if they are located in the game directory then you should remove them.
Finished!
I'm happy to say you're done uninstalling ReShade now. Remember to visit https://reshade.me/ if you want more information about the addon and its features.
